Have You Used Netbooks Before?

Thursday Jan 28, 2010

Netbooks are the latest type of laptops to hit the electronics market. In addition, they are selling like hot cakes.

Scores of people access the internet every day. There are online social networking sites like Facebook, Twitter and others, which are taking the worldwide web by storm. People are turning to the internet for practically everything, from shopping to finding a life partner.

People turn to the internet for communication, socializing, dating, carrying out money or business transactions and even shopping. Therefore, devices such as netbooks really come in handy. In general, netbooks have a screen size which ranges somewhere from nine to ten inches.

Therefore, you can use a netbook during your holidays to catch up on your work, pay the necessary credit card or utility bills or simply keep in touch with friends. Due to its compact and small size, you can simply carry it in a bag easily enough. Women seem to love netbooks since they fit into their handbags or tote bags.

Considering its compact and small size, this is not surprising. It is easy to put a netbook into a woman’s handbag or tote bag and carry it around especially since it weighs less than 1.5kg. In comparison to other types of laptops, which are heavier than 2kg and much larger, netbooks seem to be perfect for women.

The netbook does not support such usage. It is meant for basic internet and e-mail checking and typing simple documents. For heavier usage, you would have to use a laptop or desktop personal computer. Since many restaurants, hotels and coffee shops provide wireless internet connection for free, you can use your netbook to finish some pending work, do some office work or communicate with others during your holidays.

Even investing some money to register with a cellular broadband service provider might not be a bad idea. You can use broadband in many places due to its wide coverage. Hence, you might be able to enjoy your holidays fully without being worried about the possible load of work once you get back to your office.

Therefore, it might not be a bad idea to invest in a netbook after all. Normally, it comes with a one-year warranty period. You can simply connect using broadband or wireless connection wherever you can to communicate with friends, shop or settle your bills.
